T. Daniel Hurt, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. is a licensed acupuncturist, diplomate of Oriental Medicine, herbalist, and nutritional consultant specializing in the integrative treatment of mental health and mood disorders. Daniel graduated magna cum laude from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine. He has since pursued postgraduate training in pain management, reproductive wellness, functional medicine, mind-body medicine, and the natural treatment of infectious disease. He holds national board certification through the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology, and is additionally certified as a Quantum Reflex Analysis practitioner with advanced training in medical Qi Gong.

A Michigan native, Daniel grew up with medicine woven into the fabric of his family life. His grandfather was a beloved physician who served his community in Bay City for over 60 years. Despite this heritage, Daniel did not initially envision a career in medicine. It was a turning point in his own health during his undergraduate years that redirected the course of his life and drew him toward Eastern healing traditions. This personal experience deepened his appreciation for the relationship between lifestyle, environment, and health - a perspective that was further shaped by mentors and healers he encountered throughout his training. Daniel eventually relocated to Florida, where he earned his license in acupuncture and herbal medicine, and is now dual-licensed to practice in both Florida and North Carolina. In this work, he finds meaning in carrying forward his grandfather’s legacy of community-centered service through a holistic and integrative lens.

Mental health is an area Daniel approaches with particular care and understanding. He has long observed how profoundly lifestyle, environment, emotional patterns, and physiological health intersect with mental wellbeing - and how rarely that complexity is fully addressed. His practice reflects a commitment to treating the whole person, identifying the underlying roots of trauma and emotional conditions rather than managing symptoms alone.

When he’s not in the clinic, Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their dog, hiking and biking through the natural beauty of North Carolina.
