Yoga & Yoga Therapy

At Mind & Body, we want to reduce barriers for clients and provide a safe and comfortable place for participation in activities that are beneficial to healing. Yoga has been proven to produce positive outcomes for mental, physical, and spiritual health. We offer a variety of classes to accommodate beginners, individuals with physical challenges, and those experienced in yoga. We know how intimidating it can be to go into a large yoga class at a gym or yoga studio. Our classes are unique in that they are small and safe. We may offer classes that are larger and outdoors at times, weather permitting. We also offer one on one yoga instruction for those who need or prefer an individualized experience.

Our yoga instructors are Yoga Alliance Certified, which required completion of 200 hours of yoga teacher training. A couple of our instructors are furthering their yoga training, going on to complete the 500 hour and 800 hour certifications. We even have providers who offer yoga therapy. Yoga therapy can be helpful to individuals with many different treatment needs. One can utilize yoga therapy in addition to psychotherapy, but you can access yoga therapy even if you are not receiving psychotherapy.

Our instructors will welcome you and inform you on what to expect. If you are new, it may be helpful to arrive early for class so you can meet the instructor and let them know about any personal needs or concerns you may have. We suggest you bring your own mat (if you have one), towel, and water bottle. We have mats available if you do not have one. Please sign up by clicking the link below.

Kids and Family Yoga

Not only can yoga be beneficial for adults but it is also helpful for kids and teens. We will guide your kids to find mindfulness, emotional awareness and regulation, and gratitude for their bodies. We'll help them build connection between mind and body. We'll bring music with movement, play games, act silly, and build happy bodies. Give your kids the tools to empower their bodies and minds as they grow!

Life is so busy today, and family is so important. Family yoga is an opportunity to slow down and be present together. Children, parents, and even grandparents enjoy practicing yoga together, strengthening their bonds while supporting each other and having fun. If you are looking for an opportunity to connect as a family, you can try our kids and family classes, or schedule a private session for your family.
