Tristen is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree, she interned in Fort Worth, Texas, working with middle school and high school students in various classroom settings in the public school system. She has facilitated groups and mentored young adults and teens for over five years.

Tristen enjoys working with teens, young adults, and adults who are experiencing life challenges, depression, anxiety, or symptoms related to traumatic experiences. She prioritizes empathy, compassion, non-judgment, and creating a safe space with an understanding ear. She is drawn to using a narrative approach with techniques centered in mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. 

 

Tristen recently relocated to the Raleigh area from Columbus, Ohio. In her free time, she likes visiting new coffee shops, reading classic novels, or watching interior-decorating shows.
