Taryn Willis-Gregory,
Clinical Mental Health Intern

Taryn is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern who advocates for mental health awareness and mindfulness in everyday life. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree.

Taryn currently serves her community through her work with the Durham Police Department. She provides compassionate support to adults of all ages and diverse backgrounds, specializing in care for those experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. Taryn deeply values serving and empowering retired and current first responders, BIPOC, as well as the LGBTQ+ community. She also welcomes work with individuals in blended, foster, and adoptive family structures.

Her commitment to healing extends beyond the counseling office—Taryn actively volunteers at school-age residential and outpatient treatment facilities, offering creative and engaging activities such as sports, walk-and-talks, drawing, and building Legos to help clients express themselves and build trust.

Taryn is passionate about building healthy connections and meeting people where they are. She brings empathy, insight, and strong problem-solving skills to every interaction. Her personal experience in therapy has fueled her dedication to wellness and deepened her commitment to serving others with authenticity and care.

Outside of her clinical work, Taryn enjoys spending time in nature, watching her favorite shows, building Legos, and connecting with her family. She finds joy in laughter and listening to music across all genres.

Taryn humbly embraces her role in the mental health field and looks forward to continuing her journey of service and healing.
