Steve Pinette,
Therapist, LCSW

Steve Pinette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He is an experienced therapist that works with individuals (primarily adolescents and adults), couples, family systems, men and fathers, parent-child relationships, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief, nervous systems, and more.
Steve believes that everyone has a life story. He also believes that an important part of therapy is deeply listening to his client’s stories for the parts of their story that interfere with the life they want. He will listen for the opportunities that will help them have the life they want, and he will work with them to create the process of making meaningful changes.
Steve will help his clients learn to listen to and trust their nervous system responses to begin “thawing” the frozen trauma energy trapped in their bodies. He will help improve peace of mind, quality of life, focus, and awareness to help people achieve their life goals. He will hold space for the problems to exist while exploring options to change relationships with yourself and others.
Steve attended William Peace University in Raleigh where he earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology. He then went on to further his education at the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned his Master’s in Social Work. He has completed Somatic Experiencing training through Somatic Experiencing International. He is a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher. He is happily married. He is a father of six sons and he has two grandchildren. He brings a variety of life and educational experiences that inform his practice and your treatment.
When Steve is not in the office, he enjoys quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, spending mindful moments in meditation, walking in a local park forest, exercising or reading. Mostly, he loves laughing with his wife and children.
