Carrie Cook, Reiki Master/Teacher and Practitioner
Carrie is a certified Reiki Master and has been practicing Reiki for the last several years. She first became interested in Reiki when she was in college. Perusing through the books at Dancing Moon, she bought the book The Essentials of Reiki and it opened her eyes to a whole new world of energy. But at the time, it was beyond the realm of her understanding. Several years later, she felt a deep sense that she was not living to her highest potential and that there was something more she was supposed to be doing with her life.
Carrie prayed that she would be guided and before she knew it little things started "falling apart" (or so she thought) and she searched out a healer for guidance. But instead of scheduling a Reiki session, she signed up for her first Reiki class. During the class, she felt an awakening as she connected to a spiritual side of herself that she had neglected. So much of the teaching resonated with her to her core. Reiki had been calling to her for a long time, and now she was ready to learn!
Situations in her life were already shifting to make space for this higher understanding. Reiki raised her consciousness and expanded her understanding of life, her relationship with her family, co-workers, and everything. She had a deep sense that we are all connected. When she reflects on how her life has changed and expanded since she began practicing Reiki, she is blown away with gratitude!
Carrie also has a background of working with children as a Speech-Language Pathologist and has 15 years of experience as an SLP. She is excited to offer Reiki at Mind & Body. She recognizes the importance of holistic healing and addressing emotional, mental, and physical issues using Reiki alongside other complementary healing modalities.
